Race Day Parking

Half Marathon Parking

10K/5K/Kid’s 1 Miler Parking

Parking Details:

Location: Negwegon State Park. Park at the lot at the end of the road into the state park. The actual start line is located a quarter of a mile away to the West, so please account for this when planning your race morning.

Time: Racers should plan to park no later than 7 AM.

Additional Notes:

  • To reiterate, parking for the half marathon start line is NOT at Sturgeon Point Lighthouse.
  • It takes up to 45 minutes to drive from Sturgeon Point Lighthouse to Negwegon State Park. If you plan on doing race day packet pick-up, please plan to complete your packet pick-up no later than 6:30.
  • Bathrooms at the half marathon start line are only provided at the vault toilets in the parking loop. Please be aware that there are no toilets at the start line itself.
  • The road into and out of Negwegon State Park is incredibly narrow. If you have spectators joining, please make sure they provide ample room to racers when leaving.
  • If possible, racers should carpool with other racers or family, friends, spectators from the finish line to the start line. This helps reduce traffic and congestion at the park.
  • If racers are unable to carpool, a Shuttle Bus is available at the finish line to transport half marathon participants back to Negwegon. The bus will begin running at 9:30 AM from Sturgeon Point State Park.
  • Half marathon racers can park at Negwegon State Park (NSP) parking lot morning of only if they have a Michigan State Recreation Pass to park there. The B2B committee requests that we be mindful of hikers, campers, and beach goers that plan to use visit the park that day as well and not fill up the parking lot.
